Garden of Skills

Have students draw a picture of a garden to self-assess their strengths and weaknesses. For instance, the plants could be called Math, Reading, PE, Writing, etc. Then the would draw a small seedling for the subjects s/he is weak in and a large tree for the subjects which are strengths. Explain importance of tending the garden to encourage growth in the weak areas.

Students' pictures would hopefully be a lot prettier than this one:
